A’Design Awards 2021 Gold Winner – The Devil’s Keep

The Craft Irish Whiskey Co.

Following on from our wins at the Luxury Packaging Awards 2020, we were over the moon to be awarded a Gold at the A’Design Awards in April 2021. This influential and prestigious awards body is one of the most highly respected in the design world and to be recognised by industry leaders is a huge honour for a young company.

The A’ Design Award Jury Panel is made up of over 200 members of the International Design Academy and includes world-class design professionals, press and prominent academics. Their expertise is respected across the industry so winning the Gold Award is an extraordinary achievement for our first product; reflecting the dedication and respect for whiskey and design that we pour into each and every one of our products.

With the most submissions of any design award, the competition is fierce. But with a score of 9.9, we were placed at the very top of the Gold award, putting The Craft Irish Whiskey Co. within touching distance of the overall Platinum winners, PepsiCo. We were the only single malt to win an award, and the highest place spirit in the Gold category.

This Gold Award joins two further accolades for The Devil’s Keep, including winning in the Luxury Drinks category at the Luxury Packaging Awards, beating off competition from such industry stalwarts as The Macallan, Glenfiddich, Ruinart Champagne and Redbreast 27.

To have achieved such recognition from prestigious awards is an extraordinary triumph for a company’s first product. But then this is the whiskey that sold out in record time and broke further records when bottle #17 sold at auction for $60,000 at the end of last year.

The Devil’s Keep and its award-winning experience box have set the standard for this year’s releases from The Craft Irish Whiskey Co. In this film, you can hear the process and dedication behind the design of The Devil’s Keep from Design Director, Tiago Russo.
