Our inaugural release, The Devil’s Keep has another Gold to add to its collection. Hot on the heels of winning Gold from the A’Design Awards and the IWSC Competition, The Devil’s Keep has just been awarded a coveted Gold from The Luxury Masters competition hosted by The Spirits Business.
Competition was exceptionally high this year, with 116 submissions from 36 companies, up 45% from 2020. But despite this intense competition, The Devil’s Keep was awarded a Gold in the Irish Whiskey – Single Malt – Ultra Premium category by an expert panel of judges. They praised it as ‘your archetypal, older, premium single malt, with tropical fruit and caramel’ flavours. It was joined by our latest release, The Brollach, which gained the highest accolade, a Master Medal. The judges said of both, ‘these felt very well done, tasty and luxurious.”
Chosen for their exceptional flavour expressions and exemplifications of the hallmarks of luxury whiskey, The Devil’s Keep and The Brollach are emblematic of The Craft Irish Whiskey Co.’s dedication to honouring centuries of Irish whiskey tradition and upholding the craft today.
Our inaugural release, The Devil’s Keep is the result of 29 years and three distillations; its rich flavour imparted by American, French, and Hungarian Oak casks and is nothing short of alchemical. A spicy and sweet aroma gives way to balanced notes of rich fruit on the nose, while its palate is characterised by a well-rounded sweetness leading to a warm, indulgent finish. Limited to 333 bottles, The Devil’s Keep sold out in record time and became the most expensive inaugural whiskey ever sold at auction.
The Devil’s Keep has already earned accolades at the Luxury Packaging Awards and received a Gold at the prestigious A’Design Awards, while The Brollach was recently named a top 10 Irish Whiskey by The Spirits Business. Winning Gold for The Devil’s Keep and a Master for The Brollach is an incredible achievement for each spirit – and is just the beginning.
