Experience The Donn Dish Infusion at Home, Penarth this Game Season

On the 12th of December, we enjoyed a fantastic evening of Michelin-star dining, with a menu curated by Chef James Sommerin, including The Donn Dish Infusion. After just one taste of The Donn, James knew that the well-rounded depth of our whiskey would pair perfectly with the venison of the Game Season.

Found in the seaside town of Penarth, Wales, Home is a Michelin-star restaurant built on family values, run by Chef James Sommerin, his wife Lou, and his three daughters, Georgia, Angharad and Elin.

Chef James was taken aback by the complexity of our soon-to-be-released whiskey, The Donn, noting that it ‘feels as though you are drinking something really serious, with bags and bags of flavour’. From this, James created his venison dish for the Game Season, which also featured maitake mushrooms, grilled onion, Jerusalem artichoke and a sauce, made with The Donn. The dish’s smoked elements paired with the flavour of our whiskey make a beautiful and delicious combination. 

As part of the evening, guests enjoyed an intimate whiskey masterclass, hosted by our Managing Director, Ian Duignan, featuring a tasting of our multi-award winning ultra rare Single Malt, The Taoscán.
