Luxatic praised The Craft Irish Whiskey Co.’s inaugural release of the oldest triple-distilled whiskey, ‘The Devil’s Keep‘, for its unique and luxury status. The sold-out whiskey has gained attention by becoming the most expensive first release in the history of whiskey.
The unique nature of this rare whiskey is a result of its history; originating in American oak casks that had previously been used to store bourbon. The whiskey was then transported to French oak barrels, which formerly contained port, before arriving in virgin Hungarian oak, resulting in an extraordinary smokey flavour with tones of toasted sugar, caramel and vanilla. Packaging designed by esteemed designer Tiago Russo, fragrance, the “Angel’s Share”, designed by expert perfumer Sarah McCartney, and a jar of malted barley contributes towards the ultra-rare luxurious sensory impact of the whiskey, although you will have to wait for the next release or visit a Michelin-starred restaurant, partners of The Craft Irish Whiskey Co., in order to sample this spectacular whiskey for yourself.
